Okay, i haven’t write much. Duh. haha
Okay, First of all, Ramadhan has long started. and im no where to Khatam my Quran eversince my working days (inclusive of my business) started. crap.
Alhamdulilah, I have been working full-time since the beginning of the week. YEs, after so long of rest! now, i practically come back home to sleep. the first few days were the worst, cause once i reach home, i would just doze off. im just happy that my mom didn’t scold me for not doing the housechores.
yesterday wasn’t any different. haha. i slept at 830pm (after isyak) till 5 am for pre-dawn meal. have no idea i could even sleep that long! hehe.
so house-cleaning has been on hold and services from my 2 small brothers and i will only be activated on friday evening and the whole of saturday.
Till then, i gotta plan so many things. meeting the school leaders and staffs. do my civil service card, go for a medical check-up. and now, i realise, i havent even annouce what my job is. haha.
I’m an Allied educator. Not a teacher but im not so far away from it either.
I don’t have a class. I report to school as a teacher would. I have a timetable to follow. i drop in different classes at different periods. My job scope is basically to cover teaching duties for a selected group of people.
For instance, in a class of 40, there tend to be group of students who are very weak in their related subjects, or hyperactive that they likely would be disrupting the class, thus, these students will be taken out and i will be coaching them in a more private manner.
Sometimes, it doesnt look so simple as it seems. as an allied educator can be of different services, depending on what the teacher in class wants me to do.
To tell you abt my life as an allied educator, is as good enough for you to just know that , once i reach home, i sleep. tt’s all.
It’s that tiring.
But Alhamdulilah, today, was smth different. Although, today wasnt much different from any days,but i have more passion to press these kids towards success,even if the maximum they can get is an E grade. Nonetheless, because they are graduating classes, i am just hoping that they can move on to grade 7 rather than retain to grade 6.
It wasn’t like this a few days ago. being my first time teaching in a circular school with an actual system, it was a very very difficult assignment to coach these kids. mainly because they have attitude problem. when i saw the difference in my teaching and how they actually listen to other teachers; i felt that i am so flawed in many ways. in patience, in anger, in frustrations and in my way of teaching. i can only pray that in time, i will understand and learn better. insyaAllah.
today, One ask me, “Miss Nazira, when you’re free ,can you give us (those who are interested in studying) extra lessons after school?”Although i dread the longer hours, how can i say no? my heart jumps for joy when i hear my service is recognised and asked for more. insyaAllah, i must have been doing something right, right?

hey..sorry i googled allied educator and bumped to ur page…anw..just an enquiry to a stranger…when u applied for the allied educator…how long did they take to shortlist u? and who interviewed u? i recently applied for the teaching and learning part and anxiously waiting for a reply..plus i am just an a level graduate..dunnoe my chances…

. for me, they asked me my previous cca involvement, why i choose this position, whether i understand the job scope, and importantly, what has your previous qualification (ie. diploma course) any relevance with this field of work.
Although, you as an interviewee is eligible to be nervous infront of your interviewer (lol), please try not to be so nervous la. after all, just think of them as co-partners in moulding the children’s future or smth. haha. it’s not so scary.
Hmm, in my point of view, AEDs have no prospect. as in, no career advancement. perhaps because this is a new thing in moe and have yet to be moulded in years time. i say so because, if you’re a teacher, in years time, u can be promoted to level manager or hod or whatever. but Aeds will always be the co-teacher in a classroom.

I don’t want to give off any information to you and having another 3rd party misinterpret my words and use it against me. espicially if the 3rd party is someone i professionally know in my line of work. heh.
i emailed the application a day before the application is closed. (lucky me), the next day i receive an email stating that my resume is under consideration. a week later, they called to confirm my interview date. abt 2 weeks later was the interview. i think abt a week later, they finally sent an appointment letter. quite efficient, in that sense. and i think there was 5 people in the same room. 1 of them should be admin manager , the rest are basically principals/Vice principals of different schools.
the application is still open? hmm, if they do give an email stating that your resume is under consideration, send an email back saying that you are pleased or hope that you will hear from them soon. or smth like that. just to show that you are really interested in this position.
a friend of mine is also an alevel grad and she got it. so no worries on ur qualification side.

i will try not to be nervous on that day haha just hope i got the job coz im interested in this teaching line even tho i cant get to be a classroom teacher but at least aeds are close enough haha. thnks for your tips. abt the no prospect thing, i never really thought abt it until now..quite true actually haha who knows m-o-e will recognise the gd ones and promote them to classroom teachers

hey arief, i sent my resume on d 16th and got an email reply frm m-o-e on d 25th for interview on the 5th at a school. i applied for north and west cluster. so im hoping i’ll do well for the interview. the email said to wait for response within 1 month so maybe urs come later right. good luck ya!
