In the name of Allah,
most gracious, most merciful
I still remember when i was Primary 6.
the class was divided into 4 groups. Koko krunch, fruit loops, frosties and honey stars. (i think)
I was the group leader for frosties.
i remember some of my team mates; siti fairuz, alvin, regina, leon, Farhana and last but not least, definitely, Definitely Fadhli!
I remember him because of the mini competition we had.
Because hari raya was nearing, Ms. David asked us to weave ketupat . She didn’t know how either so she expected at least one from the team to know how.
On the midst of Fadhli teaching us, he silently told us to give our decorative lining (the ones u see ketupat like shape made of coloured thingy) so that he could do for us at home.
Because Ms. David said, any group that finishes all, gets a star for the group.
so we all agreed to Fadhli’s little plan.
Soon after, he gave the weaved coloured lining to Ms. David and we got a star.
bloody hell, one of them in the other groups then told Ms. David our little secret.
I can’t remember if she took our star or not, but i am sure we still won for that semester.
sidetrack for a bit, we won for 2 semesters actually. the first semester Ms. David treat us to a movie ( The Emperor’s new groove). it was hell of a fun.
and for that 2nd semester, we had to give in to the second in line winning team because we had ours. -_-”.
Farhana can vouch for my story. lol.
So, it was only yesterday that my mom forced me to sit down with her and learn how to weave ketupat. i was half-hearted because i wanted to watch The noose (right after F1 event). -_-”. lol.
but i took the lesson seriously, and in about 30 minutes, i finally learn how to get the layers of the coconut leaves right. the next hard part is inserting the coconut leaves at the right places.
Just after sahur, i continued to practice my weaving. and finally, Alhamdulilah. Alhamdulilah. Alhamdulilah.
All i’ve got is this…
